Message from Sport Ireland

Following the Announcement from An Taoiseach Leo Varadkar on Covid-19 please be advised of the following:

Sport Ireland acknowledges efforts made by the sector to date and strongly recommends that all stakeholders continue to follow government advice on the situation.

This guidance which is based on the evolving situation in Ireland can be found on https://www.hpsc.ie/.

Sports Bodies should assess and make decisions for their individual sports based on these guidelines.

Sport Ireland will be adhering to the recommended Social Distancing Protocols and will not be facilitating external meetings at this time.

With this in mind, Sports Bodies are recommended to engage with their regular Sport Ireland contacts via email, and where available mobile phone.

Sport Ireland will aim to deliver across all business functions as usual however acknowledges there may be some minor impact on turn around times.

Separate announcements will be made in relation to the Sport Ireland Institute and the wider Sport Ireland Campus as and when required.

Sport Ireland will continue to provide information to Sports Bodies as it becomes available and again strongly recommends that all stakeholders continue to remain informed of, and follow government advice on the situation.
