National Championships – Restricting the movement of players during play

The Irish Umpires Association  has recently  issued a new directive on slow play and it has been endorsed by the IBA.
It will apply to the 2023 men’s ILB Senior Championships semi-finals  and finals and the National Championships.
The IWBA have not yet confirmed that it will also apply to the ladies championships but may do so before our competitions  in Bray  next week.

Championship schedule

The championship schedules for the semi final rounds will be posted online next Tuesday 25th July.  A copy will also be posted to all Club Secretaries.

All requests to play daytime or evening have been accommodated.

As we will be using the six rinks in Bray we are able to run two sessions each day starting at 2.00 p.m. and 6.00 p.m. Please remind your players to arrive in plenty of time to register, have a sandwich and a cup of tea/coffee,  get bowls inspected, and be ready to commence play at 2.00 p.m./6.00 p.m. sharp.

Let hope the sun shines and everyone can enjoy their matches

Good bowling to all.
Regards
Sheila Kelly
Competition Secretary.
