    Europeans Championships 2024

    EUROPEAN CHAMPIONSHIPS
    FINALS DAY
    MEDAL GLORY FOR IRELAND
    Ireland secured 2 gold and 1 bronze in the first 4 disciplines of the European Championships at Northfield Complex Ayr.
    The Ladies Four of Hannah Cochrane, Rachel Cochrane, Lara Reaney & Chloe Wilson recovered from a 9-2 deficit against Scotland to secure the Gold by 7 shots
    The Men’s pair of Simon Martin and Jack Moffett dominated their final from the start against Jersey and won comfortably 17-10
    In the Bronze medal match against Israel, Ryan McElroy, Shane Leonard & Mark Wilson battled hard to secure the medal with a 3 shot win.

    Great weekend at the under-25 British Isles series in Belmont Bowling Club for Colum, Isobel, Isobel Ruby Nolan and Amy Carruth

    Champion Of Champions 2024

    Dun Laoghaire Champion of Champions 2024

    The delayed finals of this years Dun Laoghaire bowling Club Champion of Champions was played today the 8th of September on a dry but cold day.  Both Dun Laoghaire Champions Vivienne Beattie and Anto Grey  had made it through to the semi finals and both won their semi finals in the morning session.

    However they were unable to repeat this success in the afternoon and the eventual champions were Noeleen Kelly of Crumlin B.C. and  Kevin Marshall of Clontarf B. C,

    Among the large attendance were An Cathaoirleach of Dun Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council, Councillor Jim O’Leary and the ILB President Anne O’Herlihy.  The prizes were present by An Cathaoirleach afterwards,

    This year’s competition was the 55th anniversary of this event, we had 19 entries in the mens section and 15 entries in the
    Ladies section.
