Ierne Lawn Bowls Club

General Information

We are a vibrant, competitive, and friendly Lawn Bowls Club based in Drumcondra, Dublin, offering the opportunity for people of all abilities to play Lawn Bowls at any level. We are located at the entrance to club, sheltered from winds behind the large surrounding hedge. Bowls is an easy game to learn but it can take years to perfect your game. The important thing is to get out there and give it a go. We have Ladies, Gents and mixed teams competing in leagues against other bowling clubs in Dublin. We also have internal club tournaments, friendly matches and casual bowling throughout the week.

Contrary to popular opinion, lawn bowling is not just for retirees. It is a game that can be enjoyed by all ages and when you do eventually retire, it would be great to have years, or even decades of an advantage! If you are interested in learning more, why not come along to our Tuesday club night which runs every week from end April until end September at 6pm. We will help you all the way and you will receive coaching and guidance from experienced members. Equipment will also be provided and all you need to bring is a pair of flat soled shoes!
